Governor Insight…
Rebecca Lewis
Hi, I’m Rebecca and both my children attend Holly Primary.
I am thrilled to be on the governing body for Holly. I want to help support the school with its values and for it to be the best place for staff to work and children to learn.
With 18 years of experience in the finance industry, I am passionate about fostering a strong sense of community within the school, leveraging my expertise in banking to support its goals and ensure a thriving, collaborative environment for students, staff, and families.
Adam Jevons-Newman
I recently joined the Governing Body with our eldest child already on roll in school. I am a headteacher at another school in Nottinghamshire and have had many years’ experience as a Governor locally. I’m very happy to be able to play a small part in supporting this wonderful school.
Mr Duncan White
I am the Headteacher at Holly Primary. Here at Holly Primary we are extremely proud of the education we offer. Our children and community deserve the very best and that is what our Governing Body strives for.
Since September 2022 our school has been supporting Woodborough Woods C of E school in helping them to improve.
Mr Neil Smith
I have been on the Governing Body at Holly since 2005 (in various roles). I own a small local Technical Consultancy in the Steel Construction Industry and previously had 2 children that attended Holly. I have seen significant change at school over the years but what remains constant is a goal to see our children achieve the best they can and set them up for the next stage of their lives, which is extremely rewarding.
Emma Crawford
I work as a Teaching Assistant and have two children in school. This dual position of Staff and Parent gives me a valuable perspective and insight into the needs of Holly Primary and how best to support the school. Currently I’m the designated Governor for child protection and safeguarding. Away from school, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and friends

I’ve recently been voted onto the governing body as parent governor. I have two children who already attend Holly Primary and one child due to start in 2023. I have been a Primary Teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator at a local infant school for nine years. I am hoping that my knowledge and experience can support the school to move forwards. In my spare time I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and going for afternoon tea with my friends.
I have a child on roll in KS1 and another due to start in the next couple of years. I’m a primary school teacher with 18 years experience and teach at another school in Nottinghamshire. In all my years I have never been a governor and when I saw that Holly Primary was recruiting parent governors, I decided to give it a go! It will be nice to play some part in supporting the school that my child attends and helping it to move forward in the future.
